Whilst we do work with separated families, and families who are going through court processes, we focus upon intervention and treatment (for example for a child presenting with behavioural issues in the context of family change) rather than upon evaluation of parenting for court purposes.
Sprout Child and Family Psychology offers paediatric and mental health services to children and their families from as young as 6 months to 18 years of age.
Our premise is to not only work with the child, but also their family system and wider environment in order to ensure sustained change over a long period of time. Within therapy sessions we seek to identify and include the whole family in the treatment plan and spend time with both the child and family in implementing changes in behaviour.

At Sprout Child and Family Psychology, we are also experienced in identifying and assessing a range of childhood disorders and developmental issues including Autism Spectrum Disorders, cognitive difficulties and learning problems, anxiety issues, and social skills.
Our goal is to offer tailored practical solutions that can be used within the home, school or other environments in order to ensure that both our assessments and interventions are relevant to your child.

Hi, I’m Amanda,
I’m an autism and neurodiversity practitioner delivering therapeutic supports for children, including autistic and neurodivergent children and young people.
I provide practical, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming support that helps children build emotional regulation, executive functioning, confidence, and everyday independence skills across home, school, and community environments. This includes building skills to help with big emotions, overwhelming situations, anxiety, executive functioning challenges, and daily living skills, by providing structured, respectful, child-centred support that builds capacity over time.
I have a particular interest in working with autistic children in support of emotional regulation, helping to manage big emotions and anxiety, executive functioning support for children and teens, improving daily living skills and independence skills for autistic children, and working in support of neurodivergent children.
