Sprout Child and Family Psychology is a practice with a focus on providing high quality psychology therapy services to children, adolescents and their parents and carers within Brisbane and surrounding areas.
Sprout Child and Family Psychology offers paediatric and mental health services to children and their families from as young as 6 months to 18 years of age.
Our premise is to not only work with the child, but also their family system and wider environment in order to ensure sustained change over a long period of time. Within therapy sessions we seek to identify and include the whole family in the treatment plan and spend time with both the child and family in implementing changes in behaviour.
Whilst we do work with seperated families, and families who are going through court processes, we focus upon intervention and treatement (for example for a child presenting with behavioural issues in the context of family change) rather than upon evaluation of parenting for court purposes.
At Sprout Child and Family Psychology, we are also experienced in identifying and assessing a range of childhood disorders and developmental issues including Autism Spectrum Disorders, cognitive difficulties and learning problems, anxiety issues, and social skills.
Our goal is to offer tailored practical solutions that can be used within the home, school or other environments in order to ensure that both our assessments and interventions are relevant to your child.

Child and Family Approach
As a part of our assessment and interventions, we focus upon both the child and their family, creating sustained effective changes.
In order to best support you, your child and your family, we work alongside other professionals, encouraging a holistic approach to treatment with your healthcare team.
We take time to get to know your child and your family, as a means of
identifying the things that your child can do well and their other positive qualities which we then use throughout the therapy process
